My sandwich and other animals...
Jul. 1st, 2002 08:37 amWell that was a pretty squiffy weekend. And squiffy indeed. Squiffy. Squiffy. Squiffy. Ahem. Righty, well here's the lowdown...
Frday spent an evening of audiovisual entertainment with a good friend I'd not seen in far too long; the two films being Baraka which is simply stunning - no plot, no dialog, no characters but simply amazing photography and music... you need to be able to immerse yourself into a film and stay quiet, just watching it all take you away, or it won't work. I now need a full surround system and subwoofer for my TV - just for this. Also saw Red Planet which was also very good, one of the key parts of the plot - an insane robot - may have seen incredibly cheesy, but as a software engineer I can assure you that this sort of thing would, and could, happen. Good film.
Saturday, didn't get around to buying a cooker, did get around to vegging on EQ and going on a storming planes raid, no drops for me but a great day for our guild. :)
Sunday, parents and granny day, family pleasantness.
The weekend was peachy all in all :)
