The world is mad

robinbloke've been mostly quiet about this whole affair, but it's getting beyond a joke, this whole insane crusade against terrorism.
This is not to say I support terrorism in anyw way shape or form, I most certainly do not.
The world is going completely mad. Israel is bombing the unholy hell out of palestine because of a few groups of lunatics who would rather kill people than talk peace.
These are the people that should be targeted; not the entire government. Not the police force. Is that going to help? No, it'll just make the situation worse. More will die, more people who have nothing to do with it, Palestinian children and people from Israeli rockets, Israeli children and people from the invevitable revenge attacks.
"Israel is a sovereign power," Mr Fleischer said on Monday. "Israel has a right to defend itself."
Israel is basically virtually at war with Palestine, it certainly treats it like it; certainly if the Palestinitions had more advanced weaponry it ~would~ be war - how long until another of the middle east states throws in its hat and helps?
The statement from Mr Fleischer? Lovely. Does this mean Great Britian has Veto to flatten Southern Ireland, their police force and their government for not stopping the IRA and other terrorist organisations? People Who *have* killed dozens of people - innocent civilians, several people - several friends of mine have been in near scrapes and nearly killed from these attacks - still support them? I really don't care for anyone who says they support the IRA unless they can give me a damn good reason - and hell I can't think of one.
One small shred of light is that maybe, just maybe after all the killing in Afganestan it will emerge with peace, but it took the deaths of 5000 odd people for anyone to want to do anything about it, and how many african states are at war? How much other trouble? Columbia, Tibet and who knows where else...
Going to stop ranting now and eat more sugar, grrr.
