Now with melee weapons...

As for 'too early' it was that or let someone else bring out a clone

Yep; it's more that I'm impressed they're getting a sequel out this quickly, time to market and all that!

Chainsaws biatches!!! Woooo ya!

Hope there's an AK :D

be impressed once you find out they got a sequel out this quickly and that was worth it ;-)

personally I hope it has different game play / plot progression to it (perhaps more offence / fighting back against the zombies than just 'escape'). Just LFD with chainsaws would be a bit of a let down.

And an AK is unlikely unless it's set somewhere other than america

(inb4 "but Valve am win" - I know this and assume they will have done it well)

Heh, true; true; some sequels were worth it (Master of Orion 2, Civ 2, HL2) and many others best left forgotten!

But as you say, valve have a good rep and sure as hell they will be careful to not screw up their current star title!

I hear you loud and clear on the plot progression; read this review for encouraging sounding news :)

Hoping this will give EA a kick up the arse as well to revive the BF series into something more FPS/Strategy based!

Killing floor. Not too bad by all accounts but wholly a rip off.

I'm getting that tl;dr simply means "I don't like what you wrote" these days rather than what it abbreviates?

I didn't know any of that not having been a UT2k4 fan having fair solidly stuck with HL and HL2 mods since... CS beta 1. Not knowing that it'd be reasonable to assume it was a rip off as I had no visibility ion it until steam started offering it, apologies for offending your sensibilities on this.

Nice userpic.

Holy crap - the AI director will have the ability to alter the layout of the levels as well. That's a whole new ballgame!

Oh yes! I liked that too, although it is a bit of a slap... imagine it...

P1: "Ok guys, we're been a bit crap so far, let's up our game for the next level."
P2: "Uh, guys, the next level looks a bit sparse..."

Cut to howling scene of empty car lot with a single limping zombie in the middle chained to a lamppost, beyond this a massive neon sign blazes the word "EXIT" in flashing lights.

Tumbleweed blows past, the zombie trips over the chain and falls on it's face, choking itself.

P1: "I think the director is trying to tell us something."

The footy games release a new game every year; hell the battlefield system almost managed it.

But yes; this is damned quick for a sequel, but given they're giving us an entirely new campaign, new characters, weapons and whatnot it seems a bit like the HL pt 2.

Mind you I've not seen any pricing yet, but valve pricing is entirely a different issue (dollars=pounds my dancing pink bunny slippered foot!)
