And so it begins...
Nov. 20th, 2001 08:08 amIt's time to construct the document of my life.
I've chatted with the people all the way up the vamp chain one way or another and the idea in principal has not been outright rejected.
I now have to write a storming background, a kick-ass proposal, a presentation to market my idea and wonderous new creation to the world.
My wonderous creature must live!
It's not going to be easy, hell the character isn't even going to be "hard" as such or gooby (imho) just unusual; I've played 3 straight characters (with one requiring RST clearance for 1 merit at the start) before now and this is my shot to split away and play a character I've always wanted to...
Wish me luck!

Date: 2001-11-20 05:03 am (UTC)I was embraced by someone who is now lord, it wasn't bathroy, but I'm not giving any more than that away because to be blunt it removes all the mystery from the game if I run around telling people the entire history of my characters.
So this is all you get...
He was embraced/chaliced/whatever you call it, by someone who now holds the position of Lord, and as long as he behaves himself he is left to do his own thing. He is active within the UK, resides in a UK chantry, but is not on the UK pyramid in any way shape or form, is not required to report to the UK pyramid, (although he does respond to important queries, or to important people) despite being in the UK, and is very happy with this arrangement.

Date: 2001-11-20 05:16 am (UTC)Within the Tremere it's pretty much irrelevant who your Sire is, be it a lowly A2 or Councillor, you still have to work your way up and can fall as quickly as everybody else.
And as for him being able to be pretty much on his own? You have to be careful not to be jobbed. "So, which Chantry are you assigned to?" - "None" - "Who to report to?" - "Nobody" - "Very interesting, please follow me" *Crunch, splinter, sounds of a door being bricked up*
Re: Approvals suck
Date: 2001-11-20 05:23 am (UTC)"Who are you and who do you report to?"
"I am Giles, apprentice of the third circle of mysteries, attached directly to Lord Belladonna Steel of the Eastern Coast of the United States of America" (Any instructions I am following are coming DIRECTLY to me from the Lord)
"Which chantry are you assigned to?"
"I was assigned to the Birmingham Chantry of Albion, but due to a seeming oversight, there happens to BE no Birmingham Chantry, therefor at this time I reside within the chantry of coventry whilst I PERSONALLY oversee the creation of a chantry in birmingham suitable for it's needs"
happy?
less gooby cheese?
This has been cleared not only by Robin at the time, but also the player of the lord I am linked with (in fact she RP'd the "recall back to the US pyramid cos the UK one can't get it's thumb out of it's ass" thing with me), and also 2 st's in birmingham (and also Dave who although people say "is only a AGSA" IS the best person to be talking to about this kinda thing)...I don't DO goob...I may do "dodgy bits" but never goob!!
Damnit whats wrong with playing a political character who manages to sneak around avoiding all the political shit that people bury themselves in and instead manages to get to the interesting stuff??
and yes..before you ask..I AM in a bad mood!
