Lemon on your cheesecake

when you open your eyes
and wonder
see the stars
far above the twinkling scars the mind
and see it open
blink
round the pastle shades that call you gently sound the toll
bells in your mind
it's all a distant sound that smiles
curves at the edge
yes you have seen them before
but you move it one place on the checkboard
king it perhaps
change the game to a new slice of toast
I'm looking forward
perhaps this time it'll be mull of kintire
the song isn't strictly relevant
but then again you never know
five past the hour
four jacks short of a club
I'm going to keep smiling until then
