The curtains turned slowly in the breeze, like a wave rolling over the sea.
The first gleam of sunshine caught a crack in the window and sent a kaleidoscope of colours over the ceiling.
On the bed a sleeper stirred. An ear twitched. A leg stretched.
Slowly, sleepily, lazy green eyes opened to regard the warm golden beam that had started to creep over from the edge of the bed.
There was a moments pause before they closed once again, the cat had all day to itself and the sunshine would reach it eventually.
There was no rush at all.
