ok, I didn't have time to post yesterday, but reading through the IMDB thread about who should play who my suggestions are as follows :
Face - Nathan Fillion - can handle the smooth talking conman without any problems
Murdock - Steve Buscemi - psychotic. nuff said.
Still unsure about BA and Hannibal though

Nathan would do well I think; yes :)
Steve Buscemi is an inspired choice! I think I'd choose him over Mr.Depp.

Buscemi: Yes, definitely, I'd choose him over Depp as well!

Ooooh, good choice with Buscemi! Why didn't I think of him?
If he were 20 years older, Fillion would make a better Hannibal than a Face currently, though. Then again, that might just be Mal. ;o)

I'm one of those weirdos who've never watched Buffy as I wasn't impressed with the first season.

There's a photo and brief description of his character part way down this article :

He really was a smooth talking nice guy till you dug a little beneath the surface, at which point he became truly nasty ;)

You'd most likely know him as from Pulp Fiction or Dawn of the Dead.

He played Marsellus Wallace (the big black gangster boss) in Pulp Fiction and Kojak in the recent remake series.

true, but if the film is going to be a bit more serious with people actually being shot etc. then you need someone seriously scary as BA :)
