Anyone know a way to copy a DVD (via Nero etc) to remove the region encoding?

No, but I'd like to know, too.
I'm not sure if you can, it might be easier to hack the player so it'll play any region.

Would be if it wasn't for a friend who has a region stuck DVD.

But see below!

I do my copying with CloneDVD, but the utility that deals with regions and encryption I use is called AnyDVD. Haven't tried it with Nero but I imagine it works just as well.

This program will break the region encoding on a DVD, copy the files to your Harddrive, and then interface with Nero (and only Nero) to burn those files onto a blank DVD, thus creating a region free disk

Its what I use to copy DVD's

you just have to remember that it stores the files locally to your HD, so you have to delete the folder once done.

Let me know if you have any questions

No... I prefer to hack the DVD player so it plays multiregion!
