Morning dew on your macaroni
Sep. 26th, 2005 08:55 amI'm DJ'ing at the calling and am playing around with some samples to try and do something I've wanted to do for ages, it's pretty petty but I'll be pleased if it works.
Requests welcome of course.
Had a big DIY spree at the weekend and found that battery drills are basically useless for any decent masonry. Upgrading to an electric drill makes like so much more
I know, living the high life, me.
Also went to see Land of the dead which I enjoyed, rather amused to see Zombie personalities in it - wasn't too sure about the way the lead zombie developed but it was still pretty good - not a film to watch with your brain switched on too much.
Note to self: Need to see more cinema; missed too many good films there so far.
Work is well, worklike. May be getting sent to Switzerland again in the next few weeks, joy.
Eye laser examination went fine, my eyes really aren't as bad as I thought; my eyes are rated -3. My focal point is about two inches from the end of my nose, I thought this was bad. The laser people I went to see treat people up to minus forteen!
Blimey.
Discovering a variety of interesting music. Last weeks fad of 90's music has been replaced with this weeks fad of acoustic music, thank you ms Vega.
It's a nice pright day, scattered clouds, warm sunshine and I set my alarm for PM instead of AM by mistake.
Gu chocolate is divine.
Right, nothing to see here, carry on...
1 Not in the same place, I hasten to add.

Date: 2005-09-26 09:34 am (UTC)A friend of mine in Germany is on -14. He usually wears contact lenses because even "extra thin" lenses for glasses look like the coke bottle bottom ones you sometimes see in silly films.

Date: 2005-09-26 09:44 am (UTC)I'll be going ahead when I can work out with work when I'll be allowed a week off; procedure I'll be having means a whole week off to have my eyes heal up.
I suspect it'll have to be November.
My glasses used to be fairly massive before the technology for thin lenses made my life easier, so I can't imagine what your friends would be like without the extra thin!
