"Glorifying Terrorism" is also in the pipeline as an offence, together with, we assume, Failing To Sing The National Anthem and Knowing Foreign Words.

I know foreign words. In fact, the words I'm typing right now are technically foreign to me... what with me being Belgian and all. Oh but wait, being foreign makes me a terrorist by default right?

Exactly my thought.
This opens the gateway to basically "You look dodgey and you have any sort of offense item" (oooo a butterknife, send him down!)

Yep, that's what I was inferring - that we'd already reached that state even before the introduction of the badge and the lawmaster as proposed there.

The earlier article says:

"He is charged with three offences of possessing articles for use in terrorism and two of making a record of information for terrorist purposes."

So that implies the "making a record" bit didn't stick, but possessing the code book and the mortar instructions did. Surely they should have to be able to prove he had them "for terrorist purposes"... anyone with access to the Internet can possess stuff like that. Doesn't make them a terrorist.

Hmm - time to leave the country. I know, I'll move to America - everything will be much better there. Land of the Free and all that...

Yes, and they only deport foreign nationals to Syria to be tortured, not citizens. Oh, wait...

They don't "deport" them to be "tortured" - they just accidentally leave them there for the nice Syrians to chat to. A nation as noble and righteous as the glorious United States would never resort to torture!
