I know foreign words. In fact, the words I'm typing right now are technically foreign to me... what with me being Belgian and all. Oh but wait, being foreign makes me a terrorist by default right?

So that implies the "making a record" bit didn't stick, but possessing the code book and the mortar instructions did. Surely they should have to be able to prove he had them "for terrorist purposes"... anyone with access to the Internet can possess stuff like that. Doesn't make them a terrorist.
They don't "deport" them to be "tortured" - they just accidentally leave them there for the nice Syrians to chat to. A nation as noble and righteous as the glorious United States would never resort to torture!
