...steal one aspect of a video game and bring it into real life, which one do you choose?

Me? I'd have everyones names floating (ala EQ, BF2, etc) over their heads so I never forgot anyones names!

I'd steal the fact that you never have to do laundry, even in The Sims.

I'm kind of attracted by savepoints. In quite a lot of ways ... :-)

You should be able to switch the name tag off, though. It can get annoying when it's crowded or sometimes you don't people to know your names.

I'd have to go for god mode or something like an infinite resources cheat. ;o)

Imagine being able to save your game, go postal, then reload and smirk knowing what you did to that guy's head...

You're evil :)

Oh, I'm just imagining the inner peace that would give me! I could apply it to things as well as to people. Forget controlling that tantrum, just save, have it, and reload to before the tantrum point.

Yes, I think I'd like that please.

Being able to jump five times my own height with no apparent ill effects on landing. Stairs? Why bother - just jump. Crowds of stupid tourists? Gone! Busy road? What busy road? Wrong side of the Cam? Not any more!

Cheat menu 4tw. And savepoints for the reasons described above. However... would you *remember* when you reloaded what you'd done? Would you still have the burning urge to do evil things?

this is the problem with the whole save point argument. Upon reload you'd be all fuming again; plus there would be the problem I always have with saves; I carry on to see if I get away with something bad and accidentally save over the safe point

That kind of thing, yeah.

Or maybe Potions of Health. Or potions of stat gain! (But then, which stat...?)

Coloured circles under people's feet à la BG and other Infinity engine games, so that I see who is my friend and who is hostile to me.

People have said all the obvious ones… that don't really apply to the kind of games I often play.

Given I'm usually messing around with logic puzzles, maybe something useful in real life would be certainty that the problem you're working on actually has a solution?

Who needs games effects? Life is wierd enough already. However, loading life from a Compact Cassette may appeal
