- bladerunner:
It's the mood of the film that I love. The setting. The last few moments of realisation and the sets.
More than this I love the music. Vangelis did a masterful job of capturing the sound and setting of the whole film, I listen to the soundtrack virtually every night. Within one or two songs I'm asleep. - chocolate:
Good chocolate. I used to eat cadburys, no more. I'm still a fan of the more milkier side of chocolate, but done well. Justins in Whitby is a good example (quiet stomach!) or Green and Blacks, with their caramel probably my current favourite. I don't so much have a sweet tooth as an entire dna structure generated from the base glucose molecule. - even more vodka:
Vodka is good. More vodka is better. Even more vodka is better still. I like vodka. It's the first alcohol I actually drunk and didn't hate, admittedly at the time it was hidden in some orange juice and I've continued to drink it this way.
Lately I've come to understand the joys of sipping it, letting it vapourise in a small chilled shotglass and pouring the vapour into my mouth as well as a small sip of the liquid.
Good vodka warms, warms and strokes a delicious heat down your throat and into your stomach. Bad vodka burns and gives taste that's not meant to be there.
Smirnoff is not good.
Stoli, Grey Goose and Absolut (citron) are the way to go. - garbage:
A more recently added interest after I saw them in concert. Ms. Manson is a stage goddess, she draws in the crowd and spanks them until they scream for more. Wonderful grungy RAWK that makes you want to bang your head and dance like a loon. With a few soulful ballads that tug at your heart as well. - introspection:
I am firmly of the belief that you need to understand yourself as much as the rest of the world in order to get anywhere in life.
Although there are parts of me I acknowledge that I'll never understand and I kind of like them that way.
Introspection for me is more than housekeeping, I like to withdraw into myself and shut the universe out. Completely. Forget that anything exists except me and my own little space. This is where I can explore my mind... - making people laugh:
Laughter is the best medicine apparently, although whoever said this probably didn't know about penecillin*. I find it works both ways, happy people make me happy. Making people happy or laugh is a really good feeling, especially friends and those you care for.
* Which I am allergic to, but hey. - ogham:
Older interest, fading now. RP influenced. Ogham (Or whichever way you care to spell it) is a old alphabet that survives here and there on many ancient gravestones and markers typically saying nothing more interesting than "here lies X".
The alphabet itself is linked to types of trees and plants and looks like vertical lines with crosshatches along it. - prodigy:
The prodigy. Rah. I rediscovered them when I started going to full tilt at the electric ballroom and discovered some latent insanity gene that made me going fairly mental when listening to them, I've never lost it so much as I have when dancing to them.
Saw them last year and screamed like a fanboy the whole way through. They rock. - s*p:
S*P (http://www.somethingpositive.net/) by Rik Miholland is a satrical slating of existance disguised as a webcomic. The characters are witty and list character assassination as a hobbies amoungst other things. I like it because (amoungst other things) I identify with the lead character's (Davian) lamentable outlook on life. - the calling:
The goth club of Cambridge. Ah the glory days of the Q club*. A good place to meet, drink and dance to a variety of doom, gloom and electropop bleep**
* As an older (cough) goth I am contractually obliged to yearn for the days of yore.
** If I'm DJ'ing anyway.
