I had about 5 minutes to do shopping while I was away, in a crappy duty free shop. All I checked there was vodka and they had nothing I couldn't get over here anyway.
Meat and meat products obtained in the EU (also dairy and fish, honey, eggs etc) are all OK if you've only travelled within the EU zone. You have weight limits within Eurpoean (non EU) countries.
If travelling from outside the EU then things get complicated.
They changed it again, then (it was like this before the big BSE scare a while ago). *nods* I haven't seen the big "don't bring meat" signs for a while, true. Still, taking meat products on a half day journey without refrigeration might not be a goood idea in the first place.
