Flights of fancy
Nov. 15th, 2004 11:11 amOne of the delights of my job is the interesting world travel aspect.
Ahem.
Or rather, tomorrow I'm being shipped to Germany to go and stand in a factory to wait for the customer to realise that the problem is theirs rather than anything to do with us. Once they realise this, I can then come home, probably Wednesday.
Bah.

Date: 2004-11-15 01:41 pm (UTC)Up for 6:30 for the taxi to Birmingham.
Couple of hours in the airport waiting.
Hour or so flight.
Land, drive to factory for a few hours.
Stand around in smelly factory trying to communicate that it's their fault not ours.
Drive to a hotel.
Eat, probably for the first time all day.
Get bored as I'm the middle of nowhere.
Go to sleep in an unfamiliar uncomfortable bed.
Get up for flight home, etc...
Not fun.
