Addiction is a bad thing, continual reliance on substances, situations (etc) other than what you require in order to maintain your life isn't generally considered to be a bad thing.

Expectation is the mother of disappointment, expecting one thing and suddenly being presented with that which you did not expect is a bitter pill, ironically in this case - which I am slowly leading to - to swallow.

Taste and smell are often considered the sharpest senses for triggering memory, reaction, thoughts and so on.

Are we all settled down now? Good, then I'll begin...

I had a bad nights sleep last night, I didn't really manage to doze much at all. Consequentally I feel somewhat (more) lethargic this morning and not being a coffee fiend I decided that a packet of olops would be just the ticket to pick me up.

After a brief creative spell possibly brought on by low blood sugar I popped a couple into my mouth, my body ready for the buzz that would virtually instantly flow though me like a tingle over my skin as I tasted them.
Have you ever had a sugar rush? I mean really had a sugar rush. Coffee doesn't touch it, it's like... like... it's like a shiver that travels over you down from your neck to your toes and fingers, a subconcious reaffirment of every nerve in your body for about half a second before wham you grab the rollercoaster and it drags you up from the low and drives you up, up, up towards a carbohydrate fuelled peak.
Thats what I was expecting anyway.

The mints I bought were sugar free, they'd mixed them up in the display in the cafe.

I am unimpressed.

Everything tastes like cardboard to me at the moment-even my favourite cake from the cake shop this morning tasted rank.
and I didn't sleep either. was up from around 11 last night, until around five, when I decided i really needed sleep. ~sigh~
and sugar free mints? poor thing ~hugs~ I didn't know they made such evil things...

Booo! Can't taste on your birthday? Thats evil!

And after a deal with a work colleague who's trying to cut down on sugar I now have fulled sugared olops... ahhhhhhhh.

It is somewhat evil, yes.... I can't even taste my big -red chewing gum which is mostly cinnamon and sugar, and after spending over half an hour carefully making steak in a tomato and onion sauce last night, the damn thing tasted like sawdust/cardboard mix....
*disgust*

People like that deserve angry penguins!
Did that sweet shop with the pixie sticks ever re-open?

It did, they must have been on holiday. I have decided to stop dealing however except for special occasions.

Now that just sucks! May I recommend Hersheys' Peanutbutter Cups for the required effect.
