We got caught in the scrum for the premiere of Who, Robot? while trying to go and see King Arthur last night. Will Smith was up on a stage doing his brand of inoffensive rap with (I kid you not) DJ Jazzy Jeff. It's like it's 1990 all over again.
Have you seen the recent Kevin Smith film, Jersey Girl? It's a big stinker, apart from one major plot point; the main character is a publicist who loses his job for slagging off his client in public; one Will "Fresh Prince" Smith.
I think I'm going to see it anyway as I haven't read the story. Thinking about "the three laws of robotics" rang some bells but it's probably just something I've read about Asimov's stories, not the story itself.
It's not actually based on I, Robot, they just bought the title and stuck it on their film. If you get over the 'its not asimov' thing (after all they are planning to use the three laws if they get around to making a robot that isn't remote controlled) it's probably not a bad action film. Of course I havn't seen it yet and it could blow more goats than the nation goat blowing champion Shamus McGoatBlower
