Since several people have expressed interested this Saturday myself and the lovely the_mendicant will be going to see A Midsummer Night's Dream at Girton College Gardens as part of the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival. Anyone else interested?

I am semi tempted to tart up for it big time...

Don't tart up too much, you'll be mistaken for a cast member!

Saw some gorgeous frock coats the other day that made me think of you; there's a guy who does the London Fetish Fair (or all places!) who buys old costumes from the National Opera and suchlike. They had some beutiful stuff, and pretty reasonably priced - certainly less than you'd pay for a mass-produced garment in a similar style from Black Rose or Raven.
