You are standing outside a low stone building, there is a single door on this side that looks to be made of wood and metal. Behind you a trail winds back down the hill and away into the distance. It is approaching nightfall, the sun is tinging the sky and clouds pink with it's dying rays.
What do you do?

I will write you a "build your own adventure" style story if you leave a comment, just ask for a genre and give me a brief description of yourself and then say what you want to do, the rest will unfold...

The old dwarf sniffs and shuffles over to the bag, leaning forward to a closer look, muttering as he moves.
"You young 'uns, always in a rush, never time for anything... hmmmm..."
His fingers twitch, and you could swear you saw one of the faces on the root blink.
He straightens and looks at you, peering over his glasses, "This is it, hmmmm, gold wasn't it." he shakes his head, "Petty goals, young 'un... do me another service... and I shall give you some crystals with worth greter than any petty metal."

"Old man, I believe your memory has failed you again. This *is* my second service and you owe me not gold but an ounce of the finest moondust, as previously agreed."

My hand creeps further into the folds of my robe to grip the haft of the dagger tightly.

The old dwarf snorts. "And your young rashness would have you turned into a charred toad if your hand so much moves an inch more on that little penknife of yours."
The dwarf turns around and gives you a dour smile, "Moondust? When last time you were here you destroyed an experiment that I'd been working on for nigh on a year? I think you might want to carefully consider your position, young 'un."

It is my time to snort.
"Again, you're mistaking me for someone else. It was your useless apprentice, now well digested by the stomachs of a pack of wolves after he was caught by the trap he had so cunningly set for me two weeks ago.
Spare me your idle threats, old man. Give me my due and I'll be off and won't have that letter delivered. I think this will put me in a rather strong permission."
With a mocking smile, I muster the old dwarf carefully.

The old dwarf shakes his head and snorts once again, "You are too young to make threats, young 'un. Be careful who you threaten, people who can send you screaming nightmares are not to be trifled with." he turns and throws a small bag in front of your boots, "Here, take this moondust and all that it entails, may it bring you all the trouble and strife the legends say." He picks up a small cracked twig and pokes at a rat in a nearby cage before turning back to you, "Now get out before I throw you out the window." his eyes darken to black pits, and the air around you crackles faintly, static making your beard bristle.

I quickly catch the bag, before it can hit the ground, check the contents briefly and without another word, leave the room quickly.
