Build your own adventure

You are standing outside a low stone building, there is a single door on this side that looks to be made of wood and metal. Behind you a trail winds back down the hill and away into the distance. It is approaching nightfall, the sun is tinging the sky and clouds pink with it's dying rays.
What do you do?

I will write you a "build your own adventure" style story if you leave a comment, just ask for a genre and give me a brief description of yourself and then say what you want to do, the rest will unfold...

...he waddles round to the back door to try it, stuck too but the window was open...how the hell was he going to get in, he was a flightless bird afterall...

*Impossible mission music starts up*

Spotting a nearby pole an idea struck him, he picked it up and took a run at the window, jamming it into the ground; with all the grace of a ham sandwich he flew through the air to crash through the window.

*CRASH*

He landed in the room, turned and hid under the window, occassionally looking up to see if anyone heard...

"We know you are in there Penguin" was the call from below...

He flattened himself against the wall, reading his feather throwing knifes. If they were going to come in he was going to be ready, he looked about... was that a trapdoor in the floor?

he wiggled across the floor and pulled up the latch, he fell forward through the trapdoor and seemed to fall for what seemed ages, then after landing in a heap he looked around, there were tunnels going off in all directions... and he could hear a faint voice...sounded like a child singing...

Puling his torch from his penguin utility belt he flashed it around the area, looking to see where he was.
No doubt his pursuerers would be hot on his heels... the singing was, worrying, something wasn't right here obviously. But given the lack of time he had he just chose a corridor and went down it.
