Foreign arms sales loopholes

Although frankly anyone who starts buying SA80's from us must be bonkers anyway.

Well, H&K spent over 100 million of our money trying to fix the SA-80. the sights on it are good, since i have used it, however i still think its an bad design, and we should go for something else.

Derek :)

With you on this. The SA80 jams like a bitch, is unpleasant to strip, and doesn't look anywhere near as much like a ray gun as the Steyr.

Of course, the real fuckwittery here is the idea that an 'ethical foreign policy' has any place whatsoever in government.
The only foreign policy worth having is 'what is best for us'. Anything else is a joke.

This sparked a tangentially related line of thought... war as advertising campaign. You know, our hardware isn't all that good, sales to foreign dictators are falling, so we go and blow the shit out of one of them just to sort of prove how good our weaponry must be, and then the black-market orders come flooding back in?

Well I liked it and at least I could hit a barn door with it, which is better than my best efforts with the SMG, LMG or SLR

I had heard that general opinion was that the SLR was preferred.

Myself I only have experience with shotguns.

The SLR was a lovelly waepon, but I never got one with a short stock and never perfected my technique with it. The SMG never needed a technique - it was a bit of a hosepipe.
When I fired the SA80 - I felt at home with it staright away.

Shotguns are good and even better with....Water Melons :@) Especially water melons that have been filled with putrescent fermenting vodka for a week!

I have this vague plan for when I'm next in the US to find a gun club and throw a few hundred at them and say 'let me fire a clip from everything you've got', just for fun.

Actually looking forward to meeting her too; my parents used to have a spaniel; they're lovely hounds.
