The support band; Joy Zipper were not too bad, very tight and smooth vocals but their bassist seemed to be constantly plagued with troubles. The songs weren't too bad but there was something about the keyboard system and sheer number of samples that made me think they could really do with an extra band member, probably a drummer; the samples in some cases lasted about 30 seconds for an intro while the band idled. They were however a suitable warm up for the main act.

Air; Wow. Just wow. It was like being on some amazing musical drug, and if they ever tour again, I'm there. The only complaint I could even begin to think of was that their vocals were a little faint, but this is because of the audio set up. The light sho was fantastic and coordinated beautifully with the music, the sound itself was crisp, smooth and flowed wonderously together. Their drummer is nothing short of a minor diety, if not a god. He alternated between playing bass and drumming, showing the weakness in the previous band. Not only this in a finale for one song he kept perfect time with the lead beat while basically attacking the rest of the drums in a coordinated style that would have intimidated a ninja master. The vocals were wonderous, the lead singer has a range that made me wince when I wondered how he could manage to sing like that. Samples were not overused, coordination was perfect. Plus they played Highschool lover from the Virgin Suicides album, which is one of my favourites of theirs. Most of their songs were from their new Talkie Walkie album, but there were a few old favourites as well.
If you even vaguely like air or euphoria style music (they are classed as Trip Hop, but what the hell is that?) then go and see them, if there are any tickets left.
Wow.
