I hate EBay sometimes; I put a bid for a CD I've been searching for for eons (The often muttered about Spice Opera) for 20 quid and in the last few minutes of the sale I was outbid (before I could react)... when there were no other bids at all until that point, ooooo I could crush a grape.
Time to start fruitlessly waiting for it to show up somewhere else again, bah.

Checking the bid history they were all made within around 5 minutes of the auctions end.
I'm going to sulk now.

Awwv :(. Tht's happened to me a few times, but for barcode scanners, which are less exciting and easier to get elsewhere.

Meh, I hate that. I lost two bids in a row in literally the last 30 seconds recently. Not impressed.

G'wan, kill that grape. It has no sugar. Kill kill kill.

This is standard eBay practice. People noticed that getting into a bidding war before the end of an auction pushed up the price. (The fact that people were fighting over something makes other people want it.)

The best strategy for bidding seems to bid as near as you can to the auction end, and bid the absolute maximum you're prepared to pay for the item. (Since you'll only pay enough to outbid the next highest bidder if you do this.)

Or to try and buy something that noone else wants... :)

Some people actually enjoy that fight at the end, and bid for things they don't want just for the rush. I really dislike it and avoid ebay unless I can do a Buy Now.

Awww. I'm sorry love.
I'll keep an eye out, of course, but I doubt I'll find it. It'll be out there again though.

~hugs~

Hmmm, that page refuses to load...

I actually have it all on MP3 but I want it for real; besides the MP3's are only at 128bps... ;)
