I hate EBay sometimes; I put a bid for a CD I've been searching for for eons (The often muttered about Spice Opera) for 20 quid and in the last few minutes of the sale I was outbid (before I could react)... when there were no other bids at all until that point, ooooo I could crush a grape.
Time to start fruitlessly waiting for it to show up somewhere else again, bah.
Checking the bid history they were all made within around 5 minutes of the auctions end.
I'm going to sulk now.

Date: 2004-01-14 04:20 am (UTC)The best strategy for bidding seems to bid as near as you can to the auction end, and bid the absolute maximum you're prepared to pay for the item. (Since you'll only pay enough to outbid the next highest bidder if you do this.)
