I am a thousand different faces
All apart from me
A thousand different smiles and frowns
Painted in their eyes

I am a walking certainty
A sliver of occasional truth
I am the law, the lies the life
Burning in the roots

I am the sky unfolded
And wrapped around again
I am the fallen angel
Death reborn again

I am the breath that fades
and flutters into fire
I am the eyes all glistening
and living other lives

I am all these things
I am none
I am all trees a rustling
Leaves blocking out the sun

I am the moment passing
I stole the moment past
I kissed the moment coming
I dreamed my moment's last
