I feel the urge to spiff up my rather drab journal, are there any easy guides around anywhere as opposed to the rather intimidating one on LJ. The days of me scripting HTML like easy prose having long gone.

Ask Mageboltrat (http://www.livejournal.com/~mageboltrat)? His is quite heavily hacked for a free account and then we tweaked his set of overrides to do mine as well (me being lazy!).
