A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away someone, for reasons known only to themselves bought me a toy penguin. This is possibly because I occasionally mention I find penguins (and llamas as well, incidentally) to be generally amusing beasties, and I seem to remember some study done at some point indicated that looking at penguins is therapeutic. At this point someone else noticed that I had a toy penguin. And thus did the tide open and now I have around 100 toy penguins - not that I'm complaining of course, they're rather nifty :)

Date: 2003-11-19 05:49 am (UTC)Whilst driving past Bristol zoo on Monday I commented that was where Eric lived, and I was asked if you'd ever been to see him...
And neither of us had read this comment at the time.
