Which I have no idea what it means.

Sort of a meh weekend; saved from being drudgery by an excellent chilled evening on Saturday with the Lensman, philosophised and watched a couple of good flicks including Atlantis, which is wonderfully relaxing.
So very nice to talk to someone else with the same world views as myself after trying to pull my brain around someone elses reality, not that it hasn't being interesting but trying to radically shift your paradigm can be hard on the noggin.
Live in your own delusion I say.
Also managed to rebuild my '98 server and get myself back online, which took most of saturday; smoothwall or something may well be installed instead when I can be bothered, which is likely never.
Sum total of productive things done all weekend 1.5 (I don't call fixing something thats broken an entirely productive thing). Pondered decorating plans;
Bedroom, deep green carpet, dark blue walls, black ceiling with stars; black velvet curtains.
Bathroom, dark blue floor tiles, lighter blue walls, light blue ceiling. Underwatery theme.
Back to the Ikea nesting instinct.
Sunday was the goth curry and vague mehing, the curry and company was good; although my appetite still is about as much as a anorexic supermodel at the moment.

No angst, just no anything. Very wierd; like feeling dropped out of my life and I'm not sure what to do, caring, being nice etc all feel forced at the moment, all shades of grey. Wierd.

Aliens

Well, things must be getting vaguely back to normal again because I had another dream about aliens; well actually multiple aliens.
Firstly, dear reader, an explanation. I've been playing Jagged Alliance 2 a lot lately, which can be a really annoying game, but fun. It basically involves hiring a load of mercinaries to shoot up a country in order to start a revolution and save everyone from a pyscho leader.
Me and a group of loonies (in my dream now) decided we needed money, so we attacked a bank; which quite possibly could have been a disguised space ship. All the people in it (who we gunned down loads) were aliens. But they looked like humans who could morph into big killer spindly alien things, which we shot as well. Just as we're all surrounded by a bazillion aliens I threaten their grandad and they capitulate. We sign something and take me to a laser gunnary range where the alien sets me up, or something. It goes into a coma and a second set of aliens turn up who are entirely composed of energy and attempt to take me over, or something.
At this point my brain decided it had had enough of this crazy shit, and woke me up.

No angst, just no anything.

Come dancing next Friday, then. Usually works for me, anyway.

I do know the feeling though - or rather, the lack of it.

~stockpiles hugs for sometime that isn't now~

not for me actually. Because I'm in Bath that weekend, and thus on the other side of Avebury, I'm looking for someoen who will bring my son to me!

Well that would sort my weekend out for me as I'm likely to be in London on Friday/Saturday and can then go via Reading to Avebury on Sunday

LOVE YOU!

Now all we have to do is work out how you and Ashley will recognise each other! I'll chat to him

Swap mobile numbers then maybe I can phone him when I get near and I can meet him by the station or something?

good idea - Crowthorne Station is actually easier off the M4 than Reading station on a Sunday morning, if that's OK? You'd have to go past the Oracle at a hideous time when all the shoppers get there!

My knowledge of reading is just about nil, but I'll sort out a map!

go to Crowthorne station, not Reading. You tke the M4 to Junction 10, then the A329M to Bracknell and it's about 5 minutes away!

dead easy and I will send directions

That would work; all I have to do then is escape from London!

easy enough - M4 all the way! YAY! Get to show you my favourite place in the world

Well, I may well have money and I want to dance! I've wanted to go to EB for months now and a birthday is a good excuse to me... And I've never been to Avesbury and wanted to just check it out. Plus I know what Ashley looks like. That's if Robin doesn't mind me sort of lurking behind him in my habitual fashion when confronted with real people *grin*.

so ask Robin for both dates?

This friday is EB/EHQ2 party/Avebury.
Next friday is EB.
What sort of transport do you need?

Date: 2003-09-29 06:41 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wyrdness.livejournal.com
I'd like to do this Friday, though I have to make sure I can get the 'day' booked off from work. If there's any car like transport going that way then I would like a space, or if not just company on the train would be nice (because I have a habit of getting misplaced when I don't know where I'm going).

Next Friday looks like it's going to be difficult as I think that's when someone is off work, so I'd have to go down on the train by myself anyway.

I'm driving straight down from work this Friday I'm afraid; but obviously can give you a lift on Sunday; No idea where I'm staying Friday evening, it may not be EHQ2.

Sunday lift is good enough for me :) I never figure out crash space in advance, it's a bad thing. However I have a whole week to figure that one out this time *grin*

That sounds like an exciting dream. I sometimes have SFish dreams, but usually they focus on visiting barren dangerous planets or failures in the spaceship's systems. Sometimes they involve contemplation of the large-scale structure of the universe. I think I read too much Stephen Baxter :-)

I think I need to read more sci fi stuff, all three of my last dreams (that I can remember) have involved aliens in some way.

Hm, yes, I know that feeling (or rather lack of) when you feel empty and everything feels forced. I take it as a sign I've peopled out and go and recharge by going off and playing geeky single player computer games until stupid times that I'm not supposed to. *hugs*

*salute* Exactly what I'm planning on doing, thanks for the knock to the noggin.
I have an evening of Counterstrike planned this evening and just getting away from everyone and everything in order to rechange my social batteries - all Ready for acting like a tart at the local Goth club tommorrow :)

And on a totally irrelevant note, Beta Neutral is (among other things, no doubt) an Everquest reference. Hah, it infects you even when you don't know it.
