Aliens...

Darkness, outside your window you become aware that... something is there, something that shouldn't be. Through the curtains you peep and you can see something... hovering there, a three tiered saucer like object, the middle section spinning to direct jets to control movement the lower and upper sections completely stationary. Aliens.
They hover around and move about, almost as if demonstrating what they can do, a kind of alien air show.
You wake up, it's dark, theres no light or sound but then... suddenly you can hear a brief scratching in the walls.

Aiiiee!

Ahem.

Well that was my dream last night, and I'm not sure if the scratching was the dream or I still have a mouse in the house. Regardless I was tempted to turn the lights on to go to sleep, paranoia was high about aliens... again. More dreams about aliens, why?

Maybe you've been abducted. Have you considered hypnotism?
Either that or you're in psychic contact with the Atun on Saturn (that's a Uri Geller thing).
Or you're paranoid about aliens.
Or the scratching mouse was just getting to you in your sleep.

Was there a humming noise this time?

I doubt I've been abducted, I don't really believe in that sort of thing happening except to deluded hicks in smalltown USA...

No humming noise this time, all else I do remember is thinking 'Thats a nifty propulsion system'.

Case for Alien Abduction being quite real thankyou:-
"The War of the Worlds" suggests that an Alien invasion can be defeated by them not being immune to the various viruses and bacteria found in the atmosphere that we have evolved natural resistances to over the millennia.
This is of course quite true, alien visitors would not not have these resistances and the invasion could be repelled by them all catching a cold, or by bad music...
If the invading/visiting force was very very stupid.
But here we are talking about beings that have the technology and therefore presumably the intelligence to cover the vast distances involved in interstellar travel.
Therefore it makes sense that before making contact or possibly sending in the fleet, that they send in scouts to discover what they can expect to be up against, and take samples from indigenous populations to see what they're immune to.
This explains abductions and cattle mutilations in one easy package.
I now wait for people to pick the theory apart :)

Forgive my somewhat harsh dismissal, to my mind, at least, abductions are a combination of hoaxes, stories, delusions and minor insanities.
To my mind that is, I freely accept that I could be wrong (along with other things I hold to be true)
And yes, that explains why they'd be doing this quite easily.

Please in turn forgive what was supposed to be tongue in cheek and really didn't come over as being such.

I actually like to believe that this is indeed the product of overactive imaginations, though that's more of a hope than an actual belief if I'm honest.

Ah the confusion of text based communications...

Well if there are aliens out there, lets hope they have more sense than us.

*laughs at the Calvin quote*

Yup, that's my proof if anyone asks me.

No self-respecting alien would want to have any truck with a world that could produce the Home Shopping Network and SeaLion Dion. ;)
