I'm here and I'm alive and stuff...

I hate 'natural' keyboards

Transcribed from a scribbled piece of paper on the flight over.
Writing is beginning to become an obsession, or at least LJ is - I think a palm PC is in order, or a dictaphone or something just so I can record stuff anywhere; lack of a keyboard is annoying because my writing stinks.
This has already been a wierd day and hopefully it's going to get a whole lot more normal. (Note to self, was that real hair?) Everything went like scarily oiled clockwork, checked in and everything, arrived at the gate well before time and all seemed peachy. Then they decided to move everyone just leaving me sitting there, sectioned off while security people murmuing worringly about passports and putting on blue gloves that just screamed 'body cavity search'. On the plus side I did manage to get a window seat. get ont the plane almost immediately past the whole queue malarky but that was wierd.
On the negative side I am sitting next to a potentially annoying kid (who wasn't that bad actually) who I am hoping will get moved (he didn't, plane was packed). Life is strange, the yanks better have squash. I'm pining for LJ. I wonder if the 'mute' button will work on that kid sitting next to me.
And is it me or do all male aircraft stewards go on some camp attitude course or something?

Update, from day 2; one thing more annoying than kids on planes is fat frat boys who insist on talking loudly and leaning back further than the plane seats are specified to. From their conversation I'm am guessing that university challenge is not for them.
LARD! Went to the Claim jumper restaurant - 5 new vodkas to try, rah! Ordered half a cow to eat, was yummy. Managed to stay concious until around 10 pm before crashing; no LXG tonight.
House has rats! They're cuuuuute!
Masquerade ball day - yay!

So far I haven't met a single one who wasn't camp, it must be in the job description ...
