Talking food. What are they trying to tell us? Polos, M&M's, Lurpak and many other companies sell their products by having talking versions of said product bibbling at us in their consumer sales slots on the TV. Is it a case of 'you are what you eat' and by devouring their rich tasty intelligence of -insert product- you'll gain all the powers, abilities and recognition that the -insert product- has? Are you saying to the world "I am a milk chocolate in a crisp coloured shell!". Or ar you saying that you enjoy eating intelligent lifeforms and that sugar and chocolate, as yet unproven to have any sentience, obviously is intelligent as the TV adverts clearly display talking animate versions of the sweet itself.
It's all in the mind.
And where do their arms and legs go? Eh? None of the M&M's I've ever eaten have arms and legs - they're all mysteriously missing - is this false advertising? "I bought this packet of M&M's under the clear belief that I would have a minature walking army of candy." would that stand up in court? I think not! So legs and arms dammit! Maybe like the polo 'holes' they sold a while back (which incidentally do fit inside regular polos, as do polo minis - ah, the insight of sweets) they could sell M&M arms and legs, lurpak trombones and various other psuedo-animate food extras.
There are so many hidden markets out there
