It's Friday! Flan time! Two hours of joyous meetings this morning, oh how I can barely contain my zzzzzzzzzzz. *cough* Anyway, last day of the week at the prospect of sleeeeeping in tomorrow morning looms ahead like a big looming thing, on wheels - with four shift gears and a little pair of furry dice.
Yatatatadaaaaa, mmmm. Need sugar, big great chunks of it. Marching steadily forth in an unstoppable army across the world, fear my sugar minons, muhahahaha!
Well when one of your life's role models is a psychotic schizophrenic what do you expect?

It's the wonderful prospect of a weekend ahead with friends and fun and stuff!

Tuesday wednesday stay in bed
Or thursday watch the walls instead

(In which I try posting this again with my brain turned on...)

Yes, although my weekend is probably going to be quiet, but then I have Monday (Electric Dreams) and Tuesday (chainmail The Calling) to look forward to, not at all far away now. :)

It is indeed a wonderful song. ~bounce~

Monday you can fall apart,
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart,
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start...

Ahhh, erm, ok, you convinced me ~grin~

Tuesday is booked to holiday and I can start fretting about what to wear; I'll just need to know when where and how to get there!

We slip through the streets
While everyone sleeps
Getting bigger and sleeker
And wider and brighter
We bite and scratch and scream all night
Let's go and throw
All the songs we know...

I knew the combination of me and the Human League would do it...

The club itself is in Dean Street, Soho. I could meet you at Picadilly Circus and we could walk from there, or something, if you're not sure about finding it. It opens at 10-10:30 and goes on until 3:30ish, though with a tendency to get a bit punk at the end, for some bizarre and inexplicable reason. You can, of course, crash here - so if you were going to turn up earlier, you could come down to Elephant & Castle, throw your stuff here, and we could head out together. Up to you dear.

There's an all-night party
In room 7609...

Turnin up a little before would be good so I can dump stuff off before scooting to par-tah! Bounce! Plus install makeup etc.
*starts mentally making NR outfit checklist*

Using my power
I sent it by the hour~

YAY Welcome To The Pleasuredome YAY love that song so much ~bounce bounce bounce~

Basically let me know when you reach Elephant & Castle tube station and I'll come out and find you, it's only ten minutes down the road from me. ~smile~

Electrostatic stars and the neon moon
Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1982

FGTH are soooo good, I think I have hmmm, 6 different versions of 2 tribes? Such a good song, although I think 'Bang' is my favourite of theirs; short and sweet. :)

The plan sounds like it will work! My gawd... looking forward to a Monday?! Pigs will fly next...

I don’t wanna be hip and cool
I don’t wanna play by the rules
Not under the thumb of the cynical few
Or laden down by the doom crew

~stares~ Howard Jones! I nearly quoted him earlier and then worried that you wouldn't know him! ~laughs~

My favourite FGTH song is 'Rage Hard', it's just...huge and incredibly camp and still powerful and, just, wow.

~bounce~ Monday ~BOUNCE~ YAY!

We can dance if we want to,
We've got all your life and mine...

Wooooo! Men without hats, gawd, I loved that song; the video was great :D

I think you're likely to know more lyrics than me however as a) your music collection, as you noted, dwarfs mine. b) I have the memory of a crack-smoking goldfish

FGTH are amazing camp, thats just part of their charm! :)

Poor old Johnny Ray sounded sad upon the radio
he moved a million hearts in mono.
Our mothers used to sing along, who'd blame them?

I have the video, it's on the video of the first ever Now That's What I Call Music. ~grin~

My music collection dwarfs yours principally, I would imagine, because you buy things for the music and I have a tendency to buy things for the...well, the things. So I have x different versions of, say, 'I'll Fly For You' by Spandau Ballet, plus one on each of three greatest hits albums, plus the one on the original album, where I'm sure you'd only feel the need to own a track once. :)

Have to confess I can't bear the Dexy's though, with the exception of 'The Celtic Soul Brothers'...

You say I'm a dreamer
We're two of a kind
Both of us searching for some perfect world we know we'll never find...

You have the video for Safety Dance?! Ohhh /worship!!

Ahhh the Thompson Twins, damn fine songs... ohhh getting 80's nostalgia overload!!

Theres only a couple of things I have to get everything for/of; the Chilli's, because AK rocks and Flea, although he should likely be sectioned, is the best bassist I know; and Floyd, which is more an ongoing thing.

Brush shoulders with the stars.
Where strangers take you by the hand and welcome you to Wonderland
From beneath their panamas.

I have the video for many things - if there's anything you're looking for, just ask, I keep a list of everything I've got in my head and have two connected video machines at home so can easily record anything for you. :)

*You're* getting 80s nostalgia overload, and then you quote Club Tropicana at me?! I almost passed out from the sheer 80sness of that, and that particular quote especially...

Anthony Kiedis is a god, truly. Flea is a fantastic bassist but I reserve the right to continue worshipping John Taylor, just because.

I've seen the future - I can't afford it!
Tell you the truth, sir, someone just bought it...

I fully respect you worshipping JT, and may well join you in grovelling :)

As to music, if I have anything you want, say and I can just burn it :)

Ahhh, how to be a millionare, sooner or later ABC appear :)

Not long now till the ultimate experiment
He's breaking all the rules
He wants to cure all matter of imbalance
In this world of fools

Well, how am I to know what you have, since you don't have it listed anywhere? ~s~ Doubtless you have many things I'd like, actually...

ABC always appear sooner or later. But I had to look yours up - I only know two Men At Work songs! ~shame~

I've got facts, I know the truth -
You're all corrupt, you're all depraved!

Oooh, look, fun for all the family...

I see your 'Ebenezer Goode' and raise you a

See the light, enter the light, become the light and shine -
You're a star, you know you are

Which is my favourite Shamen song. ~manic Shamen bouncing~ God I love them.

But going back to the 80s, there's always

I will have you, yes I will have you
I will find a way, and I will have you
Like a butterfly, a wild butterfly,
I will collect you and capture you...

Animotion? I'm afraid I've not heard any of their stuff before, google has heard of them though ;)

Do you remember barefoot on the lawn with shooting stars
Do you remember loving on the floor in Belsize Park

And with that it's out bowling for a few hours... yay for 80's music biz! *hugs* :)
