A crackingly fine weekend indeed, plus my Usual suspects and Silence of the lambs DVD's arrived this morning, huzah!

Now to try and rejumble my brain to work out some things I worked out on the weekend that have slipped away in the confusion of sleep, I seem to remember making an LJ post randomly, but post dating it to deliberatly confuse myself. Damn me!

...you had one law, no conscience or kickback and the power to enforce it?

Right now I'm favouring the legalisation of automatic weapons for the execution of work colleagues who whistle.

Give me your name (or a name!), a place (usually where you live) and a vague one word topic or item and I'll write you a Limerick, gratis.

A lot of introspection over the weekend, brain dumped here for my own reference as much as anything as I had a long period of trying to define what "I" am in any sort of subjective terms, based on what "I" believe, being fundamentally agnostic.

Anyway, cut here to remove waste, it's just rambling to myself )

Yes, you heard me, the action packed, gore-fest and vamp punchup movie is quite simply, art. Art? Well more specifically comic art, the translation of comic style; although possibly not true to the blade comic, but more the entire style of comics themselves.
What am I jibbering on about? The costumes, the style, the lines, the art, the fights, ignore them all, don't even consider the plot (minimal) the acting or anything, ignore the whole thread of the film and then imagine instead you are watching a free flowing snapshot of a film that has moments for each cell of the comic it imitates and depicts, in true comic fashion, all those most important emotional moments and by hell, it'll get there somehow even if it doesn't really mean anything in between.
So, did I like the film? Yes! Not for the fights or anything like that but because quite simply, I was watching the truest real-action comic style film I'd ever seen. Quality.
Mind you I might have been a little tiny bit out of it at the time.

...I believe that, over the weekend in a moment of simply utter revelation I was presented with the ultimate in snacking technology.

We as human beings have spent millenia evolving, seeking and searching, crawling from the seas and swinging through trees in our enternal search for a final ultimate answer to life, the universe and most importantly of all, confectionary.

Yes, unbelievers, let it be so, for nothing other than this could I, sugar addict, chocolate pimp and much more besides state that even beyond the wonder that is fruit pastels, the buzz that is pixie crack and the slow happy burn that is chocolate that is something still greater, believe now... or forever be held unworthy.

Open thine eyes and behold! )
