The Euro, had a thought about it whilst walking to work today; annoying that, whenever I start walking somewhere I always start thinking up something I really want to write down; social comments, poetry, random ideas, etc... then they've faded mostly down to background noise by the time I get to a pen or a keyboard, curses! Anyway...

Sidespin; birthday wishies; why do we make them? Or me in fact - had a vague thought about what to wish for tommorrow (because of a cartoon about someone who wishes for a giant hairy beaver...) and I think it's probably just because its more a statement of direction and opportunity I want to try and take if it becomes available...

Right euro... yers; bad or good... well I'm sort of siding with the "good" idea for it, money is a large factor of a countries identity perhaps and these identities may be something we want to hold onto; but by the same stint this always creates another barrier to understanding that other culture. If we all have the same currency it's easier to go abroad, it's easier to understand and relate to prices and therefore it will hopefully be easier to relate to them as well. Maybe it's just random wittering of my brain but any step towards countries getting on better has to be a good thing in my book. Hmmm, "in my book", I wonder what the title is, maybe "My brain and other liabilities" perhaps...

People seem to be writing horoscopes for themselves at the moment; so heres mine.

You will determine your own life through own own choices and interactions with the world in general. There will be no mystical forces determining your destiny. Look to yourself for opportunities and decisions. Look to the world for everything else. Several large balls of gas in nuclear fusion several thousand light years away from your present location in time/space will have no gravitational, social, economic or any influence on your mind, brain or anything else whatsoever. Deal with your life and don't look for excuses in small white twinkling lights in the sky.

Re: White wolfs letter to the (our) organisation (The Camarilla)

Bad.

Basically they seem to be saying "We can't get our way so we're taking our ball with us"
* They have no experience of running the Cam
* They want the membership list to do with what they will, hello? Data protection act?
* A lot of people will be very pissed off with this and possibly quit, especially the BoD who've put a lot in to only have WW say "sorry, sod off"
* They want to run it how they want, not how the members want - not good
* "We don't charge you for the license" well thats because we're not going to pay you to play your games we've already bought you loonies
* They don't understand the commitment the society has, we don't get paid for doing this! People can't get paid for doing this, it doesn't work as a business and they're treating it like one; people do this for free!
* "The board members don't trust WW"? well certainly not, you've just proven that by saying you sack them all, can they even do they WE run the organisation not WW; that is a dictatorship - this is OUR fan club for YOUR games, yes we our YOUR official game but WE do the work dammit.

I say we take their "official game" sticker and ram it up their [censored] then change the name of the organisation (as we were doing anyway) change documents as we need to conform to their trademark laws (which meant we couldn't duplicate published material anyway!) and carry on as the cam mk.2, and see what they say then.

Stuff 'em

But take ten seconds...

Thats better

Knee jerk reaction; if the games keep going - what the hell... See above post I stole from JA, much more sensibly written than my rant, for shame.

Thought for the day: from [livejournal.com profile] jonnyargles

Demonising White Wolf into a form of Taliban with NHS glasses and rock band tour shirts who want to wrest control of the Camarilla helps no-one. So long
as they don't interfere with the chronicle, who cares? They're not going to
turn around and say, "Hey, we order you all to use mob rules 5.1" because of
the Golden Rule - don't like it? Change it. Personally, I think they're tired of the fractious arguing, which is frankly giving their creation a bad name, and want to make sure that MET is something to be proud of, which helps their sales, and helps our membership base. The only people who have reason to be worried are the BoD themselves; who might get bumped down the hierarchy a step, but otherwise things'll carry on the same. What's the matter, folks; been embezzling funds?

Hmmm, valid... I suspect I have just made the kind of knee-jerk reaction that I've always hated everyone else making
smack
Time to go away and think about this, after all I keep telling myself to avoid the OOC crud and just play the games, thats what its about in the end.

Bad Robin, bad.
