World in motion...
Jan. 16th, 2002 09:07 amThe Euro, had a thought about it whilst walking to work today; annoying that, whenever I start walking somewhere I always start thinking up something I really want to write down; social comments, poetry, random ideas, etc... then they've faded mostly down to background noise by the time I get to a pen or a keyboard, curses! Anyway...
Sidespin; birthday wishies; why do we make them? Or me in fact - had a vague thought about what to wish for tommorrow (because of a cartoon about someone who wishes for a giant hairy beaver...) and I think it's probably just because its more a statement of direction and opportunity I want to try and take if it becomes available...
Right euro... yers; bad or good... well I'm sort of siding with the "good" idea for it, money is a large factor of a countries identity perhaps and these identities may be something we want to hold onto; but by the same stint this always creates another barrier to understanding that other culture. If we all have the same currency it's easier to go abroad, it's easier to understand and relate to prices and therefore it will hopefully be easier to relate to them as well. Maybe it's just random wittering of my brain but any step towards countries getting on better has to be a good thing in my book. Hmmm, "in my book", I wonder what the title is, maybe "My brain and other liabilities" perhaps...
