A wise man once said

A flower is only
A sexual organ
Beauty is cruelty
And evolution
My familys not going so great health wise at the moment, my nan (fathers mother) is in a very bad way, my aunt collapsed yesterday from exhaustion and is in hospital and on friday a friend of the family who I've known since I was born died, he was more like an uncle really.
All my memories of him are all good, save the illness he's had the last few years; he always seemed to be smiling. When I was a kid he always seemed to bring around presents when he came around to see my dad, only good memories. In the end, for everyone else left in the world, afterlife, reincarnation or if you're just dead in the ground thats all you can leave - memories, everything else is temporal. I suppose that his memory too is only there whilst those that knew him were alive, after then he'll just be a name, three words and two dates on a piece of stone somewhere.
But the feelings will carry on; the goodwill and positive memories he has left have effected me, and I'll give back to the world these good feelings and smiles and laughs as a part of his legacy, in his memory as well as for everyone else I know, these feelings will hopefully touch those I meet and make them live on through the centuries, through the generations until humanity burns itself out and all is left is a spinning ball of burnt out dust.
I hope I can leave the same kind of impressions he did on me.
