The RAC route planner reckons a couple of hours for the journey (up the old M11) and I need an hour or so before the game to get some newsletters printed out and my arse into gear; plus ideally need to be at the venue for 6, which would mean to leave for 3 ish at the latest - is that viable? If not I can grab a return ticket.
Well that was the plan you see ma'am; I'd have to run into work when we get to Cambridge (I can direct you to the pub and then I can scoot off) and print out vast piles of stuff and pickup the computer and bits (etc etc)...
waterloo is one of the ones near it t'other is southwark iirc
best route i can think of is kings x - green park on the victoria line (blue one)
green park - southwark on the Jubilee line (silver gray one)
out of station turn right and walk along on the left hand side of the road. cant describe the left turn you have to make -put- on the other side of the road if a corner shop and on the left is a restaurant. go down that road and take the first right then the hq is just a bit along
Victoria line from Kings X to OXFORD CIRCUS. Then bakerloo (for some reason the Southbound bakerloo is right opposite the Victoria line trian you'll get off no none of the escalator faffing about like at green Park) to Waterloo.
Once at Waterloo, take the Jubilee line EXIT (by the McD's) - the regular exit is more of a hassle and further away - and walk to the theatre just outside on your right (The Old Vic). There's a road that goes along side it to the left (Webber st). Take that. Walk. Keep walking. Walk some more. Crossroads. Go straight over. First right.
MUCH MUCH easier than arsing with Green Park and quicker too.
