Well it was a weekend thats for sure, in the technical sense of the word.
EQ wise is was pretty successful, got a poohload of xp, bagged some decent items in a mini-raid and finished the first of 4 progressive quests (of 10, the last being a vast war) for magic rings, the first reward being rather pants; the last being a ring of doom (tm). More guild strife in a raid last night, why do CR always end up when it's getting late and I need to sleep, hope everything went well afterwards.
Real world, real world I didn't do that much, friday barely touched anything in the physical reality, saturday was also somewhat of a loss; Sunday however I cooked myself a huge roast turkey dinner after finding that despite what I thought I have enough food in my freezer to possibly enough to feed several small african nationals for a year or three. Cooked too much and will reheat the rest tonight. Did manage to keep up the morning excercise plan even over the weekend however.
Apart from that? Spod all. Sort of good news from the family front, my nan only had a mild stroke and she's about as well as she ever was; but shes increasingly apathetic and unenthused with life in general and she used to be a turbo-granny, always up and scuttling around - it's painful to see someone fade away like that, especially family you care for.
No cam at all, having avoided it and tuned it out so much I'm beginning to really look forward to (hopefully) playing my new character, I haven't a clue what to play it he doesn't get approved so I really hope the character makes it; It'll be good to live larp again and the social stuff; even if it does always revolve around characters rather than the real world, which I increasingly find somewhat dull if people harp on about what their characters can do and what discipline/gift/art/yaddayadda ability can be used in combination with another, well not so much find it dull as not really give a toss. Stories about characters doing interesting things, yeah, thats good - crucial part of their lives, sort of like a soap opera for characters - thats whats interesting - not that I can bid X traits in a Y contest that means I can beat you up, woooo.

We're been reorganised! I'm moving officially to systems support (which isn't so bad) my new manager's manager is a good bloke, the former manager's manager has moved away (Yay, no more over management!). The nutter is coming back! (Argh!) but he's not in my team (Yay!) and he's only coming back for as long as it takes to make him look employable so he can quit! (Yay!) And he may well even be in a different building (Yaaaay!) Thats 5 yays to 1 argh, not bad.
And less than a month to wait now, guess I'll find out one way or another - or at least hope so.
