Plans within plans

Ideas are all finally falling into place, I've at last got a direction and plan for where my new character will go, why they're doing it, motives, goals, reasoning behind path, demeanor and nature. Plus a wide OOC development goal to stamp on top.

Hopefully I'll finish the background this weekend and can finally submit it for approval, which is good as I'm finally feeling motivated again to actual play; my enthusiasm in general for RP has been dimming lately, its all a combination of being tired of peoples one upmanship about hown they could kill this and that character, ooc bitching and general apathy about actually sorting out a character that I'd like to play but couldn't define any proper goals for.
Hell, I'm going to write a mission statement for this one.

You sound like me... lack of enthusiasm for RP and for the same reasons. Except you managed to put it in just a few lines and got straight to the point instead of rambling forever and then losing people half way through :). Changeling good though... My favouritest game... Must write DT's, need to think of something interesting to do. Must also think of a character for Middenport game *considers Ventrue or to stick with Malkavian's*. I seem to be out of good ideas...

That was my problem, until I finally worked out a concept that I'm happy with and more importantly with IC goals I can work for; a character without goals is somewhat adrift I find.

Then again, with one Top and three High level approvals required for this one... it is unlikely :(

*Having FAR more fun playing his secondary which he had sidelined for some silly reason than he's had playing his primary which was specifically created to be "fun" and "an interesting concept"*

Git, I've been desperately trying to put myself off the idea of doing a character idea from that particular set of books, on the basis that I'm 99.99999999% sure that all relevant officers will just look at it, look at me, giggle and go "NO! *THWACK*"....if you get this character I'm going to be sooooooooooooooooooo tempted to try anyway!

Well, you never know until you try. Good luck with it :) I'm just going to bang my head against a wall for a few hours and see if I come up with any good ideas... Might go against my self imposed ban and make a Toreador. Then I should write Alice's downtime as well, but I just can't seem to think of anything decent to put in vampire downtimes. Changeling is more fun to write, Abby does more things than waiting around for the end of the world.
