The latest version of my MET character generator is now finished.

Updates for 1.15:-
Added arete cap and orphans for mages
Added penguinware button
Added more names

BTW If anyone has the ORIGINAL version of the elder scrolls game I'd LOVE a copy as it has some great source files I want to pull apart to add a random background generator to this as well.

Cheers but as I recall it doesn't have the funky auto-background generator for your character... or does it?

It's got a Q&A multiple choice thing where it asks you a series of questions about your childhood & then provides you with a background...you mean that?

There was some basic version in Ultima II as well, where you had to choose between two tarot cards, and that would decide if you were a magician, fighter, bard etc. . AFAIR

It was more the text files that came with the game that were used to generate the background that I wanted :)
