And a weekend thought; what one game would you play against the devil/death/etc in order to save your life/existence/soul/favorite biscuit?

For myself it would be Baku Baku or Risk if it had to be a board game.

I'd play Mercy

Depends on the type of game.

I'm rather good at air hockey though. But only on the straight sided tables... can't stand the curved ones.

Facebook Scrabble, because:
-I could get everybody to heckle
-If he spoke like holy beings are generally held to speak in many fictional universes, he couldn't play any words, because they all begin with capital letters

Settlers of Katan, maybe. I seem to be quite good at that.

Come to think of it, playing Cheat might be another good option.

Nim, having carefully matched up the initial sizes of the piles with who's going first.

Given the following:
1) In any deterministic game with no hidden information, the outcome is decided from the start if both players are perfect.
2) The devil plays perfectly.
3) The devil would never play any game in which he would be certain to lose against another perfect player.
4) In a draw, we play again.
5) I don't want an endless sequence of draws.

The only sensible option is to play a non-deterministic game, or a game with hidden information.

Since the devil is probably a better bluffer than I am, my most sensible course of action is a game of pure chance. Therefore I would play Snakes and Ladders.

Heroquest, or Warhammer 40k, in which case I would insist that he collected and painted his own army.
