The experiment
Mar. 9th, 2006 08:38 amThe final switch was thrown. Lights flicked on the front of the console, at the back a gurgling noise as the pipes opened.
"At last. After years of research the final switch can be thrown. But time.... first."
The machine ground into life and the scientist walked away to wait.
Time passed.
The machine hummed quietly as footsteps announced the return of the scientist.
"Now.... the switch!"
Beep.
A grinding gurgling noise and icy cold pieces of ice tumbled out into the glass.
"And now a generous dose of ascorbic acid."
Glug glug glug.
"Excellent."
