Although I'm about as religious as a hedgehog I think I'll do the whole Lent thing anyway as I've been drinking way too much lately.

Thus I hereby swear off booze after this weekend until Easter.

I can hear my liver celebrating already.

The religious version of this actually permits you to indulge on Sundays, because those are explicitly not fast days. They aren't included in the 40 days of Lent. So I'll be allowing myself a Dairy Milk on a Sunday :)
