LCD monitors seem to be getting pretty reasonable now and although my 21" CRT is big and huge and wonderous, it also strains my hapless eyeballs... so, any suggestions for a new LCD monitor? Ideally it'd be able to support 1600x1200 and be around 19" or so, but thats pie-in-the-sky wishing I suspect...

Thanks for the info :) And multiscreen I've only just seen but damn it's funky!

I bought a 20" widescreen Dell TFT from http://www.aria.co.uk/ and am very happy with it. It's 1680x1050, good contrast and OK speed for gaming (I notice a bit of ghosting e.g. turning quickly in a FPS, but mostly usually it's fine).

Looks like Aria's price has come down to the special offer price I paid a few months ago (£410 inc. VAT but ex. Delivery).

Widescreen eh? I wondered why the strange rez, most people seem to be recommending the ol' dell jobbies...

Boo!
Mind if I add you to a friends list? Well I'm going to anyway, but if you really object I'll take you off again and sulk.
I am, btw, the red/green haired individual you shared a house with at Whitby. On that note, there were pictures promised *looks hopeful*

Heya, no trouble in adding. Pictures are going to be a while due to my unscheduled visit abroad. :(

i have a viewsonic VP201b which is 20", 1600x1200, rotates in three dimensions, and is lovely. you can get them for about 550ish on dabs. i'm saving up to get my second one so that i can have double the pleasure.

Oooo, now thats tempting. My new 19" 1200x1024 is nice and sharp but the resolution feels like a big climbdown still; maybe I'll have to get another and this can go to my other pc.

Just had one delivered this morning; looks very sharp indeed. Nice resolution and I can't see any blurring from quick movement across the screen.

Fantastico! Thanks for the recommendation :)
