I seem to be the only one so far who wants to be left alive. This is because if it was the choice between vegetative and dead, I'd definitely choose vegetative. Not for the obvious choice "at least I'd still be alive", but because I'm actualy curious about this state, I would want to experience it, I would want to morph into it, like a caterpillar/butterful, tadpole/frog. To me it's another, completely different way of being, and I'm not afraid of it.

Well, it's pretty likely you'd feel nothing and if you could. Been effectively totally sensorally deprived would not be fun for me, it'd drive me mad(er).

If it seemed like I was happy, then leave me alive. But not if it's costing an absolute fortune or preventing someone else getting urgent treatment. Basically I quite like being me, I like being happy. If I was still happy then I'd rather go on being me that being dead and being nobody any more. If I'm not *anything*, ie not happy or unhappy, then keep me alive until it's time harvest the organs for someone who can make use of them.

I wouldn't mind trying it though. I'm not as aghast as other people.

Good point at the end there, you're a living breathing ready to bake bone marrow doner!
