Winamp has decided to stop playing any sound at all, video still works, I can see the equalizer moving but no sound.
Yes the volume is set up (to max), yes I can hear other things (media player, ITunes, etc) perfectly, but just winamp seems to be sulking.
I've searched through for any kind of mute button but theres nothing; I've even uninstalled and reinstalled it (latest version).
Am I missing something?

I nuked the winamp directory (there was a plugin left over) after the uninstall, but that won't help anything floating around in the registry.
Direct X is a good point, I'll give that a go.

Normally use direct sound.

Have you set the output plugin to something other than WaveOut? Try the other output plugins - maybe it needs to be DirectSound...

I'm using direct sound atm, I'll tinker with the others at lunch (It's one of my home machines)

I bet you miss the good old days when Winamp worked.

Too right; problem is that was less than a week ago and I can't work out what I've done in order to break it in the mean time!
