At the moment my lifestyle, although busy and hectic, has all the organisation of a gaggle of gothic cats. Which is to say none unless you wave catnip flavoured alcohol in front of their noses, at which point you get mobbed in a fury of eyeliner and furballs.
This year has been a good year for music however and entertainment in general, I'm thinking what I want to do next year (as this year's summer is effectively gone already for organisation purposes) and definate items include.
* Hurling myself out of an aircraft
* Flinging myself off of a hilltop
* Go to more gigs
* Blast a pile of hapless targets
* Update/Create new website
* Do something towards that damn book I keep meaning to do.

More pending, but these are definates. I'm hoping to get the last one sorted out this year anyway...

There is? Thing is I want to fire an auto weapon; SMG, LMG, Assault rifle or at least a pistol and these are all kind of banned in the UK ;)
I may have a swiss trip later on this year where I'm hoping to grovel to have a go with an Uzi, pulls to the right apparently.

>>pulls to the right apparently
Nope, it does pull, but less than you'd expect.

It's possible to find "military days" where you can have a go with auto stuff.

On such a day I have used an SA80, a GPMG (oh my, that was fun...) and a special forces sniper (I forget the make/model) rifle at night, using an adjustable 20x touch sensitive night vision scope.

My housemate has done shooting a fair bit, I'll ask him if he knows any decent places if you like?

How much is it to hurl oneself bodily from an aircraft then? :)

Don't do it unless it's tandem. Take it from me - never, ever, ever use your own legs as the undercarriage : )

Not good for the legs then?

This extract from a hang-gliding newsgroup is typical and applies to parachuting as well:

I'm recovering from an accident at the moment. I got a little close to a Norfolk Pine-tree, a wingtip snagged momentarily , spun in from ten metres or more, snapped a treated pine handrail with my feet on my way into the bottom of a cliff face, tailwind and swinging through for a full body slam. My left lower leg literally exploded open down to the bone from above the ankle to just below the Knee, ouch!!, Morphine is a wonderful thing.

Definitely with you on numbers 1 to 3, and 5.
4 Could be fun as well.

Ouch!

Parachuting you have a chance to talk me out of but I've always wanted to hanglide... to fly above the ground with just a pole below you and barely any structure or material holding you up.
Hmmm, even sounds suicidal when I put it like that!
