Mmm, super fast computers, sounds rather interesting. Lately I seem to get the feeling that the modern world is catching up with the future (which it always is I suppose) and that soon real technology will be more fantastical than what you can get in science-fiction comics and novels.
I also noticed the bit about De Beer funding people trying to make things to tell the difference between mined and man-made diamonds, but to be honest I can't possibly see what the difference would be. Man-made diamonds may even end up being better quality in the future as they'll probably think of some way of making custom made gems. This is obviously why I'm not the owner of a large gem trading comany *grin*
