By product of a ticket touts dream
Apr. 3rd, 2003 11:44 amI'm sure coins purposefully leap, nay, employ tactile camouflage for themselves somehow so that whenever you try to pay for something with exact change you are about two pence short. This means that somewhere in my pocket is a stealth two pence piece. I need to try and find the little swine, maybe sell the technology from it to someone to make my fortune, although the idea of a stealth fighter shaped like an enormous two pence piece is rather unconventional. Then again it might be my pocket itself, forming a gateway into another dimension in order to let all the coins escape from my oppressive capitalist regime in order to set up a free society in an obscure corner of reality to sing, dance and be safe to land on whichever side they want to.
Somewhere, far out there in outer space, a two pence piece is defying random chance and chaos and landing on 'Tails' every time - just because it wants to.
In unrelated news I tried one of those 'Boost with caffeine' type bars the other day; well I have one long term addiction (sugar) and don't drink coffee so I thought "why not live like the wild, untamed force of nature like I am, and try coffee." especially since good old Cadbury's have conveniently put it in bar form. Immediate impression wasn't good, the bar wasn't entirely yummy - oh I yearn for the days of 'Slightly rippled with a flat underside' - it tasted sooo much better, and they failed to continue with the snacktastic peanut range of boosts they made; but I semi-digress. After consuming said bar I thought, "Hmmm." but after a few minutes reality started to take a small trip sideways, the world wasn't the normal fuzzy world of lime that it is in sugar rush land - oh no gollum! It was weird, and shaky and the caffeine in my system was fighting against the sugar in a way that would make Stormin' Norman proud. It wasn't a fun thing at all, distinctly weird. Post combat results left me feeling cheated, the sugar rush had been entirely stomped by evil caffeine. Bah. This is likely because I have built up no immunity or tolerance to caffeine at all - I don't drink coffee and I don't take pro plus etc, hence my systems resistance to the drug of choice for 90% of the corporation based populace is not mine. Plus I developed a headache from it as well, so it can go hang - coffee is evil. Sugar forever!!

Mmm, Apollo 440. For that matter, mmm, pain. :)
Not playing anything now, but was listening to Ultravox earlier and thought of you:
"Close your eyes and here's the melody -
Who cares who stares under the lights?"
~hugs~

*blinks and wonders if this is why no-one ever managed to find the hidden entrance to the bat-cave*
