Not for any reason or anyone whatsoever, but this just got stuck in my head.

You think that I maybe can
see your eyes are telling me yes
forming those ethereal words
posing some second guess

I don't know where the answers lay
I don't know what the question was
can't seem to form those words
tongue-tied in a fuzz

It's not the last time
It's not the first
you and I both know that unspoken question
and the answer it'd be at worst

So we dance with blades of words
parrying at arms length
eyes still playing dangerous games
holding back with all our strength
