Quietly pacing through this alien world.
The first sign of life.
A mere whisper of colour that is uncamoflagued in this retail jungle.
Onwards I walk.
Time. Turn.
A word, a smile.
Conversation.
Look up not down.
I only realise that now.
And then away. Through the peaceful night.
But no. The darkness is still sanctury. A glipse of a face.
A thought.
Idle plan and diversion.
Not even a flicker of movement, but a head darts away.
Such clarity in such a small movement.
Eyes can see beyond where they can see.
Where they can know.
Where the...
They know.
Onwards through a mirror. A world. A portal. A moment where the day and night are united.
The friendly face, the smile on the silent castle of food and mirrors.
And out through the drawbridge into the dark.
