Out in the wilds of beyond
Oct. 6th, 2006 07:49 amCivilisation was far behind me now as I stepped carefully over the worn gravel that passed for a track from where I had left my car, the faint barking of dogs echoed across the ramshackle drive and echoed from the massive billboards that seemed plastered everywhere; letting me know that all kinds of things were for sale, from eggs to camshafts.
Noone seemed to be around, staring across the rough forecourt I could see figures picking their way between the waiting beasts of shiny metal. About the only thing missing was a yellow Reliant Robin.
So no, I don't have a car yet.
