It's a useful communication medium certainly, but waiting for replies can be nerve wracking, as I've noted before conversation is a much better medium anyway, or even a letter. But I can't remember the last time I actually hand-wrote a letter, something about hand written letters says it's a much more personal thing, you've taken the time instead of typing.
So little seems to have gone.
The internet may have given us rapid communication across the world but it's depersonalised communications even more, every one's emotions are suddenly summed up in double digits as emoticons.
I hate waiting for reply emails, I worry too much, or not enough; I worry anyway. I know that I can be bad for replying myself, but I'm trying to get better. Communication is important, what little we have left before it's all reduced to metallic brain implants where we just intrapathically communicate to each other in short bursts of universal images and talking is phased out as obsolete. Metallic hats become premium fashion items as everyone works on new ways to send spam to people in your dreams so they wake up craving viagra on their frosties.
Meh.
